EQUININE High Performance Physiotherapy started back in 2017 as 'Pure Dynamic', and has since rebranded to incorporate the growth and expertise gained within the various sporting arena's involving equines across South Africa.

Within the Equine arena, we've been involved within the endurance, racing and sporting horse communities in particular.

Other than Equines, we work on our fellow Canine friends too, mostly privately for our client's beloved pets.

EQUININE High Performance Physio is based in the Western Cape, and travels throughout South Africa on special arrangement.

JODI SCHOLTZ - B.Sc. Veterinary Physiotherapy

After finishing High School I set off to New Zealand to compete in Endurance Riding at the highest level, where I was involved in the backing and training of endurance horses and subsequently won the 2012 New Zealand National Championship and Best Prepared Horse. Returning to South Africa, I embarked on my studies through Equine-Librium where I qualified with a B.Sc. in Veterinary Physiotherapy, and also registered with the South African Veterinary Council as well as the FEI (Federation Equestre Internationale), enabling me to work both locally and abroad.

I started my practice in 2017, Pure Dynamic, which meant I was able to branch out and work with clients across the equine fraternity across South Africa. This enabled me to join the South African Endurance Team as their Physiotherapist, where I have played a vital role within the team for the South African Endurance Championships (Fauresmith 200km rides), as well joining the team at the 2018 FEI World Equestrian Games in Tryon, North Carolina, USA.

Other than being a big part of the Endurance realm, I started my journey within the horse racing sector by joining the likes of Klawervlei Stud Farm where I became a part of their sales team, and subsequently got involved with the assistance of overseeing day-to-day activities required to run the stud farm successfully. These duties included dealing with injuries, administering medications, injections/vaccinations, foaling down mares, management and treatment of foals, preparation of yearlings for sale auctions, physiotherapy and training of young horses. I was also involved with the setting up and management of the Stop-Over Quarantine Facility outside Beaufort West in 2019, and in 2020 I took over as owner and manager of the facility. Being involved within the horse racing industry led me to assisting various horse racing trainers with their bloodstock in order to ensure the horses were in their best physical condition for racing and on-track success.

2021 called for a brand refresh, where Pure Dynamic has been rebranded into EQUININE High Performance Physiotherapy, as my quest to work across all horse sporting activities continues. As a passionate Veterinary Physiotherapist who believes that the animal’s wellbeing comes first, working together with owners who have the same outlook enables all to ensure the best possible condition and performance of their beloved animals.

"Jodi is a very dedicated Veterinary Therapist, she takes control of much more than what is expected of her. Every patient is of utmost importance to her, she has a high level of skills and is very capable with identifying and solving specific issues in athletes.

Jodi has been involved with Willoi Endurance, where she is a massive asset and problem solving tool. She helped some of our top athletes at major events to achieve amazing results."

"Jodi is an exceptionally talented Physiotherapist, and has been instrumental in a lot of my success as a trainer over the last two years.

She is very passionate and proud of her work, and would be greatly beneficial to any racing stable wanting to achieve excellence."

~ Adam Marcus, OWNER & TRAINER,

Adam Marcus Racing

"We use Jodi at our endurance races. Once you know the value of her work you can't be without her, especially when competing. She really is a hard worker and definitely gives her all. Not only does she make the horse feel great, she also gives the rider and trainer confidence that their horse is ready to compete.

She makes a huge difference in our sport. Without Jodi treating our horses , a lot of our endurance races would not have been completed successfully."

~ Odet Van Wyk, RIDER,

South African Endurance Team

EQUININE High Performance Physiotherapy offers services of assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal and/or Neurological conditions in animals, with a specific focus on Equines and Canines.

Veterinary Physiotherapy combines movement analysis with knowledge of the anatomy and neuromuscular system of the animal in order to identify and treat problems accordingly. Typical problems include:

Our methods include massage, taping, soft tissue and joint mobilization and manipulation, myofascial release and trigger point release.

Laser, Equissage (cycloid vibration therapy), Magnetotherapy and Electrical Muscle Stimulation are used together with manual therapy in warranted situations.

Many animals require specific exercises to complete their rehabilitation, therefore an appropriate exercise program will be drawn up where needed. As a Veterinary Physiotherapist, advice will also be given on adaptations to your animals' environment that will help them perform tasks more easily.
